Materials, Printing & Custom Packaging

Select material structures, printing and lamination around your barrier, heat resistance, sealing and shelf-life requirements.

Build the Right Material Structure

Material selection and converting options support packaging performance and brand presentation.

Material Selection

Options include high-barrier and multifunctional films, vacuum-metallized films, recyclable mono-material structures, lightweight structures and composite materials. Selection considers heat and puncture resistance, heat sealing, shelf life, filling conditions and target-market requirements.

Gravure Printing

Customize artwork, color standards and brand presentation on compatible substrates, including kraft paper, plastic films, aluminum foil and cellophane.

Flexographic Printing

Flexographic printing supports sustainable packaging and high-speed printing requirements, with customization of artwork and color standards.

Lamination

Available processes include dry lamination, solvent-free lamination, extrusion lamination and co-extrusion lamination for multi-layer material structures.

Vacuum Metallizing

Aluminum deposited on a film surface creates metallic gloss and improves barrier performance.

Customize Format, Films & Features

Develop packaging around product characteristics, filling equipment, brand positioning and logistics conditions.

Packaging Formats

Available formats include rollstock films, pre-made pouches, polymer films and plastic raw films.

Dimensions & Sealing

Tailor package dimensions, thickness and sealing method to your product and filling requirements.

Functional Components

Options include zippers, spouts, easy-tear openings, hanging holes and transparent windows.

Blown Films

Capabilities include 5-layer and 7-layer blown films based on materials such as HDPE and MDOPE.

Cast Films

Single-layer and multi-layer cast film options use PP, PS, degradable materials and EVOH- or PA-based co-extruded structures.

Retort Structures

Structures are available for sterilization from 121°C to 135°C, with performance requirements for high-temperature processing and extended storage.

Recyclable Materials & Responsible Claims

Novel Packaging develops Mono PE and Mono PP structures, recyclable rollstock films, lightweight designs and high-performance recyclable materials. Structure options include all-PE, all-PP, MDOPE/PE, BOPE/PE and other compatible material combinations intended to simplify sorting and recycling. The company developed a sustainable Mono PE pouch in 2020 and continues to focus on reducing material use while maintaining required packaging performance. Its degradable packaging development also involves PLA- and PBAT-based materials. Final recyclability must be evaluated against the recycling system and regulations of the destination market. Biodegradability, compostability, market-certification and end-of-life claims must be confirmed for the specific material and target market before publication.
